YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is based at Chatswood Hills State School and welcomes all families of the Chatswood Hills community.
Location
YMCA OSHC facility is located in "Blue" room located at the back of the school. (Gibbon Street). All children attending the service must be dropped off in the morning or collected in the afternoon by an authorised person and signed in and out of the OSHC room each day. Parking is not available on school grounds.
Programs
YMCA Chatswood Hills OSHC offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings. This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.
Programs and activities are aligned with the YMCA Mission – to provide opportunities for children to grow in body, mind and spirit - underpinned by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility. We blend this philosophy with the National Quality Framework 'My Time Our Place' and Chatswood Hills State School's educational principles to develop appropriate, engaging and most of all FUN activities for your child whilst in our care.
YMCA Chatswood Hills OSHC operates from 6:30am to 9:00am and 2:30pm to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. Team members escort preps to and from their classroom. Nutirtious breakfasts and afternoon teas are served daily to enhance the wellbeing of the children in our care. Attendance at YMCA OSHC can be casual, part time, regular or on an emergency needs basis.
Vacation care and student free days
YMCA Chatswood Hills OSHC also offers onsite Vacation Care (Holiday Club) to the Chatswood Hills community. Holiday Club will operate from 6.30am to 6.00pm during all school holidays.
Detailed information about Holiday Club activities and associated procedures will be distributed to families leading up to the holiday period.
Enrolment
Parents/Guardians are required to enrol via our online enrolment portal before any child is able to attend YMCA Chatswood Hills OSHC – this can be found on our website by clicking on the 'my family lounge' icon.
A meeting with the Coordinator is offered to all families upon enrolment. This is an excellent opportunity to discuss any concerns and assist in making your child's time with us enjoyable. All enrolling families will receive an Information Package that includes additional information and relevant forms.
