Each year a rigorous selection process is undertaken to choose the school captains. Nominated students speak at upper school assembly, after which a student election provides some helpful information to the selection panel. A panel consisting of the school principal or his nominee, a staff representative and a community representative makes the final decision.
Student representatives are elected to leadership positions. In 2018 we have four school captains.
This election process takes place at the end of the year for year 5 children, and badges are presented to the elected children early in the new year.
